Shahrom Kiani
General Manager
Shahrom Kiani serves as the
General Manager of AVI. Mr. Kiani joined AVI in 2008 having
over 22 years of experience in the Postal Automation
industry.
Prior to joining AVI, Mr. Kiani was the
Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Trinity
Technical Group, a startup company providing mail automation
consulting and engineering services. Previously, as Vice
President for Siemens Energy and Automation, Mr. Kiani led a
$100+ million-per-year business unit providing material
handling equipment and systems integration to major
couriers, including the United States Postal Service, UPS,
FedEx, and DHL. Mr. Kiani also held other executive and
management positions at Siemens including Vice President of
the Commercial Mail Solutions and Engineering Director of
Reading & Coding.
Mr. Kiani holds a MBA from Southern Methodist
University (SMU), and a master's of computer science and
engineering from the University of Texas.
Dave Bowne
Director of Software Architecture
David Bowne is Director of Software Architecture for AVI, a
leading provider of software and services to the worldwide
postal and mailing services marketplaces. Under his
technical leadership AVI provides its customers with mail
center automation, video coding, address recognition, and
mail preparation software.
Mr. Bowne previously served as both
Program Manager and Project Architect for the UKAI project,
a project that used AddressVision’s experience in address
recognition, video coding, and address learning, to deploy
major upgrades Royal Mail’s automated mail processing
capacity. He also served as the Department Manager of the
Address Correction and Encoding group, and led the effort to
establish AddressVision as the leading vendor of US address
assignment products.
Mr. Bowne has also held various
engineering positions within AddressVision, leading project
teams that developed Canadian address assignment software,
Australian address recognition software, and data quality
tools. Prior to joining AddressVision in 1989, Mr. Bowne was
a systems engineer for the Mayo Clinic, a network engineer
for SITA, and an applications engineer for Equifax.
He received his degree in Computer
Science from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. |
